Experience all the power, poetry, and passion of one of the Bible’s most moving stories as God and Satan contest for the soul of a good and faithful man—a man whose faith is about to be tested in ways most of us can scarcely imagine. This full cast recording makes the language—and the emotions—of this great text accessible in a completely new way.

The biblical Book of Job is an ideal subject for full-cast performance, with its various viewpoints, which are essentially a series of soliloquies. Full-Cast Audio needs to be saluted for taking on such a project. Job was a successful landowner and family man until his faith in God was put to the test. With his wealth, his health, and his family taken from him, Job is miserable, but he refuses to curse God. Unfortunately, the resulting audiobook sounds like American actors in an upstate New York studio reading a seventeenth-century translation of an ancient Hebrew epic poem, rather than the pastoral tale of a man in crisis.
