      Costello, known as @brunchwithbabs on TikTok, is full of helpful advice on cooking, hosting, and household hacks. Her first book continues in this vein with recipes for a year's worth of celebrations. The premise is to start traditions and create memories. From the Super Bowl to Easter to Octoberfest and more, Costello offers a wonderful template for celebrating. She starts with suggestions of events or games related to the celebration and lays out a full menu of her tried-and-true dishes. She credits the friends and neighbors who first introduced her to some of the recipes, and in the "Babs Says..." sidebar offers ideas to alter the recipe to taste and to let readers know if the dish can be made in advance and how long it will keep--much like an old family favorite passed down. VERDICT This collection of easy-to-follow recipes and holiday ideas will please both new and veteran cooks and is recommended for all libraries.--Amanda Ray
